In 2018, the first stage of the Tour de France  will begin on the Island of Noirmoutier in Vendée on 30th June!

The Tour de France will therefore start by crossing the fascinating 'Passage du Gois', a road that is completely covered at high tide.

The different stages are due to tour Vendée, and other parts of the Pays de la Loire, as follows:

Saturday, 30th June 2018 – Stage 1: Noirmoutier-en-l'Île > Fontenay-le-Comte , 195 km
Sunday, 1st July 2018 – Stage 2: Mouilleron-Saint Germain > La Roche-sur-Yon , 185 km
Monday, 2nd July 2018 – Stage 3: Cholet > Cholet, 35 km 
Tuesday, 3rd July 2018 – Stage 4: La Baule > ?
